Who is Lupe Ficara : a presentation

The painting is the heart of my artistic reflection.
The main idea to my pictorial search is the need to represent the social environment
of the city with its contrasts and its limitations.
I specially treasure the representation of the human condition in the urban space.
In this way, the social affair becomes a central element of my work.
Technically close to both figural and abstract style,
I try crossing the two to cover the distance between these two approaches.
Self-taught as painter, I was devote myself to
painting an plastics arts
from my earliest age.
I've frequented the High Classic School
Giuseppe Parini and then two years at
Faculty of Letters and Art History in Milan.
In 1993 I opened my first studio of arts and handicraft.
Feeling the desire to broaden
my creative horizons and experiments new techniques, I started a production
of mosaics and ceramics,
without ever leavings paintings.
I moved to France in 2001.
In France I worked in my house at Montreuil and then in TéKelArt studio, a company established between
2004 and 2005 thanks to
association with another artist.
At the moment I live and work in Europe.
